York Photo Labs is a popular online digital photo printing service. They process digital photos as well as rolls of film, and allow you to share your photos with friends and family online.

Using the Site
York Photo Labs is a great service for printing your digital photos. Opening an account is free and comes with 30 free prints, and the regular price is a real bargain – just 10¢ per 4×6 print. You can upload photos at any time and organize them into albums.

York offers some free editing tools, like cropping, black-and-white, sepia, borders, etc., to help you make the most of your digital photos. Once you’re satisfied with the way your photos are edited and organized, you can invite your friends and family (via email) to view them online.

York also has a store where you can purchase gift items made from your photos. Among the choices they have available are photo books, mouse pads, teddy bear t-shirts, calendars, stationary, and more. You can use these options to create personalized gifts for friends, family, or just for yourself!

York Photo Labs has a limited online storage policy, however. Once your photos have been uploaded, you have 60 days to share them online and/or order prints, after which time they will be removed from York’s system. So make sure you keep your photos backed up on disk or on your computer!

Ordering Prints
Ordering prints from York Photo Labs is quick, easy, and convenient. Just start by selecting which albums or individual photos you’d like to print. Then you can choose the size, quantity, and finish (matte or glossy) of your prints.

We ordered 9 prints from York Photo Labs using standard shipping, which cost $1.48. We placed the order on a Thursday and the prints arrived 7 weekdays later. The packaging was a little weak – just two paper envelopes – but the order was accurate and the photos arrived in good condition.

Print Quality
We were very pleased with the quality of the prints we received from York Photo. They had decent color and brightness, and were printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper. The cropping was not perfect, but it was not bad in comparison with some other services.

The website is not the most share-friendly, but it does allow your friends and family to look at your photos online and order their own prints from your photos, at no cost to you.
